Others want to Expedite their cure.
Description:
Enemies grow bold as the shapeshifters race for a cure.
Humans aren’t the only Beings in the world.
Almost a year has passed since Ambers and Echo were brought home safe. Almost a year has gone by since the death of Rochelle. Family and friends are still mourning, but the Society won’t let them mourn in silence any longer.
The annual Beings of Society meeting is approaching again, and the Disease still threatens the shapeshifters' seat at the table. New faces join the shifters and vampires in Florida as a push to expedite a cure for the shapeshifters takes precedence over feelings.
The shapeshifter’s enemies know it’s now or never to take the power they hold and are growing bold. But that boldness may be their downfall as the shapeshifters continue to grow and face their challenges, surprising themselves along the way.
Blurb:
Somehow the lottery that chose where the Beings annual meeting was going to be held favored my home. I was thankful for hosting a second year though because I didn’t know if I would’ve had the guts to stand up and ask what I was about to ask if I wasn’t in a habitat I knew.
More Beings trickled in, and I knew when the final guests arrived as the Prez finally walked in with one of the werewolf Alphas.
He started the meeting, and the agenda was slowly combed through. Issues were dealt with, and strategies were being discussed for things I let pass over me.
The Prez did get to go through his business first, as is customary for whoever is hosting, but since I asked to speak separately, I was relegated to the end of the meeting with the miscellaneous issues.
I felt a vibration in my back packet, knowing it was my phone and knowing it was him. He was here.
It was that yearly Beings meeting again. And it was almost over. And he was here!
My proposal was last to come on the agenda and I knew that the second to last issue was being dealt with.
Everyone knew that I was keeping something from them.
I knew I wasn’t being the person they, or myself for that matter, knew. My life was all schoolwork and finding a cure.
And I was now going to be asking for a major favor.
